EM - Electrician's Mate

When the power goes out, what do you do? Grab your phone, light a candle, and wait a few minutes for the lights to come back on—no big deal. Unless you’re stationed on a Navy aircraft carrier in the middle of the ocean—then it’s a very big deal. Electrician’s Mates are responsible for keeping the power flowing aboard Navy ships, because without it, you’re not going anywhere. From maintaining the power distribution circuitry to aircraft runway lighting and all the electronic systems in between, Electrician’s Mates do the work that makes everyone else’s work possible.
